ReflectionsOne®.

Structured variety for color coated steel.

This collection of structured color scales contains general pointers for sensitive color planning in architecture and general construction. The graduated tones in the scales will enliven steel buildings without detracting from the architecture through excessive contrasts.

The justification for ReflectionsOne® is that there is a big difference between monotony and resonance – not only in music, but also in the planning of often large industrial buildings. The power of color is created by, and relates to, the calm of conforming gray scales.

The most important task for many planners is to integrate very large and angular buildings into surroundings regarded as worthy of protection. The visual results should serve not just abstract programs but people and their surroundings as well.

The whole structure of ReflectionsOne® reflects the fact that in general it is the darker colors which can best establish a sensitive relationship between functional buildings and their environment.

As a rule, bright and strong colors are not suited to large surfaces and structures intended to promote feelings of empathy. They make buildings too hard, segregate them from their surroundings and accentuate a sense of uncontrolled development.

This is particularly true of white, which in recent years has frequently been used unthinkingly and has lost all claim to originality. With ReflectionsOne® it is possible to make every building special, and naturally the collection also includes near-white.

In designing the collection, Friedrich Ernst v. Garnier chose not to include over-loud individual tones, although these colors remain available on request.

The discrete color scales in ReflectionsOne® will enable designers to blend their buildings harmoniously into a landscape or neighborhood. All the scales are characterized by discrete brightness graduations to facilitate integration into the landscape.

For some of the color scales, Friedrich Ernst v. Garnier has selected an intensive individual tone, based on the colors used in traditional products, which can be used in combination with the low-contrast tones to emphasize important details and thus allow buildings to be color integrated in critical surroundings while retaining the ability to suggest significance in a quiet and sophisticated way.

Each tone in ReflectionsOne® is designed to create functional harmony in architecture.
